A couple of weeks ago I got a phone call from a bride-to-be, now this wasn’t just any phone call, it was an opportunity to photograph a wedding, pregnancy shoot and Trash The Dress all in one shoot, but there is more … the couple wanted to throw around paint during their Trash the Dress session, so you guessed it I was pretty excited !!
On Tuesday I headed up to Tree Houses of Montville for Erica & Simon’s wedding. I arrived at Tree Houses and Erica looked like a princess in her beautiful antique style wedding gown which almost hid her 6 month pregnant belly. Her wedding gown was set off by a stunning bouquet of orange and red roses and shoes with some serious bling. Simon looked handsome in his suit and was just beaming as he was about to marry his girl and expecting their first child together.
There intimate ceremony was held on the decking of their room at Tree Houses which overlooked the rainforest. We were joined by some local wildlife and even a bush turkey. They hadn’t even signed the register when Erica was already asking ‘when are we getting the paint out’. We did a few traditional wedding shots of the couple before the paint was being squirted around and slapped on each other by hand. A quick change and we were doing a pregnancy shoot and then the rain came.
Erica & Simon – I wish you many years of happiness together and thank you for letting me be apart of your special day.
