Today’s Brisbane wedding takes us to the historic St Brigid’s Catholic Church, the iconic grand red brick church in Red Hill, predominantly set high on the hill as you leave Brisbane city by the north-west exit up Musgrave Road.
Ross, the groom, along with his 4 jolly groomsmen were in high spirits as we arrived to photograph groom prep. Kate and the bridesmaids were in similar spirits just chilling out when I arrived, with some bridesmaids curled up on the bed and the others in the empty bathtub, keeping Kate company while she had her finishing touches applied.
It’s the first time I have photographed at wedding at St Brigid’s and I can only say its as impressive inside as it is outside, providing a beautiful backdrop to make your marriage vows and say ‘I do’.
Following the ceremony, congratulations and family photos, we headed to Brisbane Powerhouse for the bridal party location photo shoot. How amazing does the colour of the bridesmaids dresses look against the backdrop of the Powerhouse industrial brick walls!
The celebrations then continued on at Lightspace in Fortitude Valley for the celebrations. Lightspace is an amazing Brisbane wedding venue where you can start with the blank canvas of an industrial warehouse space, and with the help of stylists like White + White Weddings, Lightspace can be transformed into a wedding wonderland.
Congratulations Kate & Ross. What a fantastic and fun day to start your journey as Mr & Mrs.
