Im starting to think great things and the loveliest people come out of Chinchilla.
A few years back I photographed Megan & James’s wedding, the first time this Sydney-born girl had even heard of Chinchilla and my first wedding in Chinchilla or even anywhere in that direction. I absolutely loved Chincilla as a wedding location – it was the kind of surroundings which I love to photograph, long grass, rustic sheds … you get the picture right … but the amazingly friendly people trumped the experience.
Then last year I got to photograph Kristy & Jarod’s wedding who heard about me through Megan’s group, and even though their wedding was on the Gold Coast, we managed to sneak in some country style photos. Again an awesome group who were troopers after the day started out pouring with rain and our original locations for photos got canned, but we found an even better location of a shed with hay bales and couldn’t have been more perfect.
Then just recently Nikiha & Matty Jack’s wedding in Toowoomba. Seriously Chinchilla folk certainly know how to have a good time and laugh lots.
Ive been so excited to share Nikiha & Matty Jack’s Toowoomba wedding at Preston Village Chapel & Manor with you because it was such a fun wedding day with lots of laughs, beautiful light, great locations, a couple of vintage Buicks and an awesome bridal party … what more could a wedding photographer ask for, absolutely nothing!
