Central Queensland Farm Wedding | C&K

Over the Easter weekend I was in a little town in central Queensland to photograph Cassandra & Kenneth’s wedding on Cassandra’s parent’s cattle farm ‘Moselle Station’ covering some twenty thousand acres.

This definitely counts as a destination wedding, as it took me longer to get to Richmond, than to fly to Fiji to photograph a wedding earlier in the year.  I flew to Townsville and then drove 6 hours along the Flinders Highway which is a fairly straight road to my destination, passing through Charters Towers and a number of small towns along the way, heading in the direction of Mount Isa. The scenery changed from lush greenery near Townsville with lots of trees to flat dry land where you could see for miles into the distance the closer I got to Richmond.

Richmond is a bit of a tourist attraction with its dinosaur museum, Kronosaurus Korner, which was built after discovering fossils in the area in 1989.

Richmond township is about 20 minutes drive from Moselle, then its an 8km driveway before you reach the house.

You certainly can’t deny country towns are made up of the friendliest people.  I was also extremely lucky to meet three joey’s { baby kangaroos } that one of the family’s friends was looking after as a wildlife rescue volunteer.

Wow heaps of words and I haven’t even started with the wedding. So rather than rabbiting on any more, Im just going to share the wedding photos and let the pictures tell Cassandra & Kenneth’s country love story.
