Recently I was in Chinchilla to photograph Sam & Clint’s engagement session, then add there totally adorable three boxer dogs to the mix.
I must admit I have come away a bit smitten with their dogs. I grew up with dogs and it wasn’t until I relocated to Queensland, and after leaving my ball of fluff with my parents in Sydney, I have been pet-less, so I lap up any chance I get to spend with other people’s beloved pets.
I kind of have this belief, that if someone loves pets, particularly dogs as I am a dog girl, you have to have a heart of gold and be a good person on the inside. After minutes of meeting Sam & Clint in person for the first time, I knew these two people with three dogs, had kind souls and mighty big hearts. Just watching how much Sam & Clint love their not so little family, made me want to do my darn best to capture their love story.
It is said ‘don’t work with children and animals’. And yes the three boxers didn’t do much of what we asked and trying to get the three of them all together, was not an easy task, but honestly I would rather try and have a whole lot of fun in the process even if it was to just get one good photo, than give up saying its all too hard. Well I think we got more than one good photo! haha
I just didn’t feel I could talk about Sam & Clint’s engagement session without talking about their three pooches, because its obviously these three darlings are a huge part of their lives.
I’m so glad I was able to spend some time with them to capture these memories for Sam and Clint, as the three boxers won’t be able to attend the wedding. It wasn’t long ago I had a bride who was planning to include her dog in photos on the wedding day morning, but sadly her dog passed away just 6 weeks out from the wedding, and she was devastated. If you are a pet person, you know your pets are a huge part of the family, so it was nice to be able to include them in some way.
This is the fun we got up too …
I’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU
