While I have always had creative outlets, my photography journey began in 2003 after purchasing what I thought was a rather expensive point and shoot digital SLR camera, but the idea behind the purchase was very different to where photography has lead me.
I decided I had better learn how to use this expensive digital camera .... which was the beginning of my love affair with photography and discovering that being able to capture those special moments between a couple on their wedding day and a family's journey as it grows to be the most reward thing Ive ever done. Its been an exciting journey, a journey that has lead me to making my passion my career choice.
My work is mostly people photography [ weddings, portraits and fashion ] but in my spare time I like to shoot landscapes, abstracts and personal projects. Yes photography rules my life and I wouldn't have it any other way!
Photography for me is about telling stories, but also creating wonderful pieces of art that you will be proud to hang on your walls. It's all about letting you be yourselves and relax in front of the camera, whether that is casual photos at the beach or something more creative, so you end up with beautiful photographs that capture you the way you want to be seen.
Photographs document important moments in our lives. These moments tell our life stories, and these stories are important to our future generations to know us not just as a link in the family tree, but what makes us an individual and integral part of our family. Photographs not only tell our families story, but of people, culture and the environments we inhabit, so we all are historians in some way. We encourage you to select a photographer that cares about recording your story and hopefully that is me.
Id rather let my work speak for me, but I am a member of the World Institute of Photographic Masters (WIPM) and have won a few awards.
